Logistics Park Moerdijk is accessible by road, rail and water, making it ideally located. Thanks to direct connections for car and freight traffic for both the A16 and the A17 and the Interne Baan, we minimize cut-through traffic and traffic nuisance in the area. Naturally, we also pay a lot of attention to road safety. The construction of the LPM offers a number of opportunities to strengthen the cycling network in the area. For example, there will be a bicycle bridge over the A16, which will connect to the historic and tree-rich Lapdijk. This also creates an attractive cycling route through the countryside to Zevenbergen.
Traffic structure LPM
The LPM will get a new main road that ultimately connects to the A16 and A17. Its name will be the Nieuwe Moerdijkseweg and will replace the current Moerdijkseweg. Other street names in this structure are: Cargoweg, Containerweg, Palletweg, Exportweg, Handelsweg and Interne Baan.
Afsluiting Moerdijkseweg
All traffic is diverted past Lage Zwaluwe station (see map). The diversion route is indicated on signs along the road. The additional travel time for cyclists is approximately 5 minutes. For cars, the additional travel time is approximately 2 minutes. The diversion will remain in place until a safe route is available through the LPM, via the new distributor road. From December 2023, the Moerdijkseweg will be closed for general traffic. The entire area of the Moerdijk Logistics Park will in fact become a construction site. The closure is necessary for road safety. It is not safe enough for cyclists, walkers, cars and other traffic to move through construction traffic. That is why a diversion route has been set up.
