Safety and security in Port of Moerdijk is organised collectively. The SBIM ensures the security of the port and industrial area with surveillance services, monitoring of access and escape routes, camera control, emergency alerts and prevention advice.
Official SBIM objective
The SBIM promotes 'undisturbed use of goods by those entitled thereto' and contributes to a safe working environment on the Moerdijk industrial estate and on other industrial estates in the municipality of Moerdijk. To achieve this, the SBIM offers a package of security resources and measures that has been compiled together with the security industry. In addition, the SBIM not only offers (company) fire brigade care and information in the field of fire brigade care, but also other collective measures in the field of safety, health care, occupational health and safety legislation and the environment.

The members of the SBIM board also form the Working group KVO POM that monitors the progress of measures to be followed from the independant quality mark program KVO and the retention of the KVO quality mark. The supporting activities for this are also provided by the Port of Moerdijk.
